New York–The Gemological Institute of America’s scholarship application period for 2017 is now open, with $2 million in funding up for grabs.
Scholarships will be awarded in the Gemology and Jewelry Manufacturing Arts programs.
They may be used towards e-learning courses as well as on-campus courses, including lab classes, at the Bangkok, California, Hong Kong, London, Mumbai, New York and Taiwan GIA campuses, as well as at the GIA branches in Botswana and Dubai.
The scholarships are made possible through GIA’s endowment fund and private donations. Since 2013, close to 1,400 students have received over $6.5 million in funding.
