New York–Jewelers of America will offer its Sales and Management Professional Certification exams on Monday, March 13 at the Jacob Javits Center during the JA New York Show.
Certifications are open to all jewelry professionals, with no studying required as the exams prove existing skills and knowledge.
The certification program establishes national standards with two-hour exams that evaluate the proficiency of jewelry professionals at two levels.
The following exams will be offered on site in Room 1B02 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m.:
JA Certified Sales Professional (CSP)–First Level
JA Certified Senior Sales Professional (CSSP)–Second Level
JA Certified Management Professional (CMP)–First Level
JA Certified Senior Management Professional (CSMP)–Second Level
Those not able to attend the on-site certification exams can take them at any time and at a location convenient to them by registering for a proctored exam.
Any JA member store that has a member of its staff certified in Sales or Management by April 30 will receive a feature about the store in JA’s member spotlight section on Jewelers.org and JA’s social media platforms.
Exam fees are $55 for JA Members and $75 for non-members, but those who register in advance for any of the exams listed above will get $10 off.
Registration can be found at Jewelers.org.
