New York–Thomas Sabo has its eye on the U.S. market.
The Germany-based jewelry and watch company, which has more than 300 retail locations, is opening its first U.S. boutique this week at the Westfield mall, part of the World Trade Center in New York.
Company founder and Chairman Thomas Sabo commented, “We are very proud about the opening of our first flagship store in the U.S. in the brand-new Westfield World Trade Center in New York City. This opening symbolizes a big step for the company in terms of positioning Thomas Sabo as one of the leading premium jewelry and watches brands worldwide.”
Thomas Sabo also has announced the appointment of a new U.S. wholesale director, Todd Tieche. Tieche formerly worked for Richemont, Morellato and Parmigiani.
“I am thrilled to be joining the brand at such thriving times and am delighted by the upcoming opening of the New York flagship store for Thomas Sabo,” said Tieche. “This represents a unique opportunity to show both existing and new partners the world of Thomas Sabo–from premium to affordable luxury– in an exclusive environment. I’m sure that this calling card will push the U.S. business.”
Christoph Gerschütz, international sales manager and head of sales for the U.S. and Canada said, “We are pleased to see Todd joining our team. His expertise as well as experience in the market and connections in the U.S. will support the brand’s overall growth. In addition to hiring Todd Tieche, Thomas Sabo cooperates with industry renowned distributing partners for a fast, continuous and stable expansion across the U.S. territory.
